Carroll Park Golf Course
Business professionals are known to play a quick 9-hole round in the morning, go to work and then return after work for a second round. And now that Carroll Park offers “Replays”, why wouldn’t you play another nine? A popular venue among conventioneers, a round at Carroll Park fits perfectly between seminars and trade-shows. Take a cab from any downtown hotel or convention center and you can be standing on the 1st tee in less than 10 minutes. Club rentals are available in the pro shop.
In the 1940’s, the Carroll Park Golf Course was the only golf course that African Americans were permitted to play in Baltimore City due to segregation policies at the time. A group of African American golfers from the Carroll Park Golf Course challenged Baltimore City for access to all golf courses through several legal actions. After many years and much persistence, full access was gained to all Baltimore City public golf courses. These golfers were the catalyst for Baltimore City desegregating all public recreation facilities, not just the golf courses.
- If a Junior plays with an adult who gets a cart, the Junior pays the Junior rate plus the cart fee.
