Winter Golf Outings

On a few Saturday’s this winter, we will be hosting a few winter golf outings that are scramble events with a twist. There are three scramble events remaining this season (Frostbite Scramble, Jack Frost Scramble and the Superintendent’s Revenge Scramble).

Frostbite Scramble

Mount Pleasant Golf Course
Saturday, February 4, 2023
10:00AM Shotgun Start

Format: 18 Holes Scramble

Featuring Risk Reward Holes: On holes #2, #8, #10, #15 & #18 large circle will be painted on the ground approximately 100 yards from the tee. Reward– if any player of the group is able to hit their ball into the circle (ball must stay in the circle) the team may advance their ball to a designated area marked by the tournament committee. Risk– if all 4 players miss the circle, then players must choose one of those balls to play.

Black Jack Station– Before players tee off #1 they have the option to play the starter in a hand of Black Jack. If the players win, they tee off from the Orange tees (special tee placement). If the players lose, they tee off from the blue tees. If they decide not to play they can tee off from their appropriate tee.

Players 49 & younger will play the White Tee Markers. Players 50 & Older will play the Gold Tee Markers. Ladies will play from the Red Tee Markers.

Starting Time: This is a 10AM shotgun start. The field is limited to the first 30 teams.

Entry Fee: $240.00 per team of four golfers (includes greens fees, cart fees, breakfast and prizes). If you want to sign-up as a single or twosome, register at the Mount Pleasant Pro Shop or contact the pro shop at 410-254-5100. All singles and twosomes will be grouped into foursomes by the Mount Pleasant Golf Course staff.

Jack Frost Scramble

Format: 18 Holes Scramble

Superintendent’s Revenge Scramble

Format: 18 Holes Scramble

Featuring Toughest Setup Possible. Players will be subject to unusual hole locations, tee marker placements and whatever other tings the superintendent’s mind conjures up. Random pieces of maintenance equipment will be placed in less than desirable places. Needless to say, it will be interesting and fun.

Players 49 & younger will play the White Tee Markers. Players 50 & Older will play the Gold Tee Markers. Ladies will play from the Red Tee Markers. Maximum team score is double bogey on any hole.

Starting Time: This is a 9AM shotgun start. The field is limited to the first 30 teams.
